We are conducting our multi-facets personal and humane fundraiser. And seeking, contributions and donations to defray our costs. Our goal is to stamp out homeless, provide paralegal services,
Poll to change the eviction laws as they are today. We want more protective rights for tenants. As the laws stand today a landlord may evict a tenant for a reason or no reason. If a landlord has a substandard building and the city ordinance requires him to make it a habitat for tenants, he can choose to or he can evict the tenant, and rent the place out again to another unsuspected tenant. We want more affordable housing.

Many people when faced with seemingly unreasonable disputes consider taking legal action. Almost as many are brought into court unwillingly to defend them. But for most people the court is unfamiliar and intimidating.

Friends of Litigants (FOL) are low cost/no cost legal assistant support groups that will help you draft those legal papers. FOL, a hand holding, back patting, support group, unconditionally with you in mind.

In the past 12 months, 173 homeless people died. That total exceeds last year’s 157 deaths, as reported in the Mercury Newspaper.

We support CHAM (Community Homeless Alliance Ministry), Pastor Scott Wagers, and First Christian Church’s Poor Peoples Crusade, and Avon’s crusade against breast cancer.

We have also made a pledge to MADD (Mothers Against Driving Drunk); this problem takes many lives daily. Awareness must be brought to the thoughts of those who frequently use public streets, and freeways. You can read about MADD and their activities in our Sponsors’ Paralegals of San Jose Newsletter.

We are asking for financial contributions, cookie sheets, condiments (flour, sugar, baking, powder, and soda), nuts, Handi-Wrap, chocolate chips, butter, Keebler Graham Cracker Ready Crust, and sweet potatoes to support our Little Dis and Little Dat Bake Sales.

Our origination is called Friends of Litigants, sponsored by Paralegal of San Jose, Little Dis & Little Dat Bake Sales and AVON, Independent Sales Representative.
